Description
For an international company active in technical services to support TV broadcasters located in West Rome, we are looking for a NOC Control Room Operator.
Main Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor telecommunications/ broadcasting systems, supervise the technical components’ functions and make sure that they are active and problem-free;
- Customer support – act as the initial point of contact for all the company’s clients;
- Troubleshoot and fix technical issues;
- Accountable for managing events and ensuring that they are resolved, while maintaining a detailed record of the problems and methods used to solve them;
- Manage escalation process until resolution, including coordination with in-house engineers and third parties;
- Manage and coordinate technical maintenances related to the company’s distribution services;
- Monitor and operate, if needed, facility air-conditioning, UPS, generators etc.
- Work on a shift rotation basis, on a 24/7 basis.
Required Skills
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/ADVANTAGES:
- European Union citizenship or valid working permit;
- Knowledge of English – a must;
- Computer skills;
- Candidate has preferably technical background from one of the following: ICT, RF, satellites, networks, electronics, video and/or sound;
- Engineering studies will be considered an advantage;
- Technical or customer support experience will be considered an advantage;
- Having a car will be considered and advantage;
