Job Purpose:

As a member of the Enterprise Engineering Team, the Sr. Systems Engineer provides day-to-day support for the global server and network infrastructure of the company and its subsidiaries. Daily activities include project coordination, server operations, system and network provisioning, technical documentation, second and third level incident support, and ownership and responsibility of several key systems and applications. 

The Senior Systems Engineer is a highly motivated with strong proactivity in managing business critical tasks and emergencies, business-oriented and results-oriented, he’s professional focused on the design, engineering, and support of windows-based systems. Will be focused on improving the stability and performance of the systems, maintaining and improving the security posture of the systems, continuous monitoring of system health, and troubleshooting issues that arise.

Key Accountabilities:   

• Provide technical leadership, research, and recommendation of new applications and processes to improve the productivity and profitability of the organization.
• Drive policies and implementation of key security initiatives
• Maintain Windows & Linux server environment, including deploying new servers, decommissioning servers, troubleshooting issues with existing servers and assisting other IT groups with specific server related tasks such as installing new roles and implementing mandated changes and guidelines
• Deploy, maintain and upgrade virtual server environment. Including converged, hyper converged and cloud hosted systems and hypervisors 
• Patch management of Linux and Microsoft products
• Respond to escalated support tickets and provide timely support to other IT groups
• Work on IT projects and be able to see project from planning stages to completion
• Work with new hardware and software technologies and be able to become Subject Matter Expert (SME) as needed or delegated by manager

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:   

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or the equivalent experience and certifications
• At least three industry-related certifications required – VCP, MCSE, CCNP or equivalent
• Minimum of 8 years of IT-related job experience; strong IT consulting background preferred
• Strong experience with disaster recovery design planning and implementation
• Strong experience with high availability system design and implementation
• Strong experience with VMWare environment
• Experience with Citrix and VMWare Horizon
• Experience with IaaS platforms and technologies 
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Migrations and tools
• Expert knowledge with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Radius along with migrations and integrations
• Experience in telecommunications and network administration
• Expert knowledge in Microsoft Server OS, SQL Server and hypervisor administration
• Experience with Cisco IOS Campus area networks–Catalyst Series and Cisco ASA or Palo Alto firewalls
• Experience with Cisco Datacenter networking Nexus and Cisco UCS
• Experience with Software Defined Networking – CloudGenix, Palo Alto
• Experience with wireless network design and deployment – Cisco Wireless and or HP Aruba
• Experience with server and storage installation, administration and management
• Experience working with and adhering to Change Control Management policies and implementation standards
• Ability to be flexible and take on new skills and responsibilities as this role evolves with the changing technologies and methods common within the field
• Strong familiarity with security tools – SIEM, EDR
• Proficiency with Forensics, Threat Intelligence/Hunting Highly desired
• Experience creating automated scripts and software preferred – PowerShell, VBS, Batch/Bash
• Experience with network and system security and adhering to SOX and PCI Compliance
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• English professional proficiency is a must
• Multilingual a plus – Spanish, French or Dutch
